Bhavnagar (Gujarat) [India]: A women’s Arts and Commerce College in Bhavnagar has been caught in controversy by openly issuing a notice to the students to bring their passport size photographs to become members of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘Page Presidents’ or Page Pramukhs.
Shrimati NC Gandhi and BV Gandhi Women’s Arts and Commerce College located in Bhavnagar issued a notice to its students stating that the students residing within the jurisdiction of Bhavnagar Nagar Palika will have to bring their passport-size photographs to become members of the BJP’s Page President on June 24. Also, it was mentioned in the notice that the students will have to mandatorily bring their mobile phones to join in the membership drive started by the BJP.
The notice has been issued by RA Gohil, in-charge principal of the Women’s Arts and Commerce College in Bhavnagar.
However, there have been no reactions from Congress or the Aam Aadmi Party (AAI) leaders to the controversial notice issued by a college in Bhavnagar.
