Vadodara (Gujarat) [India]: A two-day inter-school Kabbadi and Kho-Kho leagues ‘Gujarat Little Giants competition’ was organized by the Adani Group’s sports arm, Adani Sportsline in collaboration with Radio Mirchi on the grounds of the Delhi Public School (DPS) in Vadodara’s Kalali.

Students from over 30 schools in Vadodara participated in the Gujarat Little Giants league. Two teams from Kabbadi and one team from Kho-Kho were declared winners at the Vadodara event. Similar leagues have been held already at Surat and Rajkot. The last league will be held in Ahmedabad and the final competition between the winners from all the four cities—Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, and Rajkot—will be held in Ahmedabad.

Gujarat Giants, a franchise brand of Adani Sportsline, started in 2017 to promote the Indian sports of Kabbadi and Kho-Kho through the Little Giants inter-school competition. This competition aims to give more opportunities to talented players.

A very lively Kabaddi and Kho-Kho competition was held between the schools of Vadodara for two days at DPS School, Kalali, Vadodara.  The new generation of students strove to win traditional Indian sports such as kabaddi and kho-kho leagues.

GPS School and Urmi School met in the first Kabaddi final. Urmi School received 45 points, while GPS School received only 11 points. Don Bosco and Sri Vidya Mandir Vidyalaya met in the second final. Sri Vidya Mandir Vidyalaya won with 63 points to Don Bosco’s 51. The final Khokho match was played in a thrilling fashion between Sabari School and Zenith School. Zenith School triumphed by five points to Sabri School’s four. Urmi School of Vadodara and Sri Vidya Mandir Vidyalaya will compete in the Kabbadi final match in Ahmedabad, while Zenith School will compete in the kho-kho final match in Ahmedabad.
