Surat (Gujarat ) [India], November 12: Surat city police raided a laboratory in Sarthana on Friday for the production of Mephedrone, also known as MD in the local market. The police have seized suspicious chemical powders, liquids, and laboratory equipment used to make MD drugs.
According to official sources, Praveenkumar Balvantrai Bishnoi, a resident of Punasa in Rajasthan’s Jhalor district, was apprehended by Surat police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) on November 9 with 58 grams of MD drug valued at Rs 5.85 lakh. Bishnoi revealed that the MD drug was supposed to be delivered to Jaimin Savani, who is wanted under the NDPS Act.
The city police were looking for Savani, who is from the Bhavnagar district’s Umrala taluka. On Thursday night, a team of SOG sleuths went to Bhavnagar in search of Savani and apprehended him in his native village.
